Slip, strong points
+ Simple and quick installation
+ The hull is always clean (interesting also for regatta sailboats)
+ No maintenance costs (lifting and lowering the vessel, sanding, coating, galvanic protection…)
+ Further protection from water infiltration
+ Lower fuel consumption + Maintenance does not burden the environment and the user (no need for an antifouling coating)
+ The hull wrapped in the coat remains clean (without light and oxygen the organic matter decomposes, and adding vinegar makes limestone melt in 24 hours – tested!)
+ If staying on board for shorter periods, simply submerge Slip (hangs on the ropes and allows for the full use of the vessel)
Slip “weaknesses”
- Slip is virtually impossible to install in areas with high water flow (in river mouths)
- When sailing out, submerge Slip, on return install it back on
- The toilette can be used only if connected to a black tank (the shower and other drains can be used normally)
- The engine must not be turned on because there is no access to water - Maintenance; clean Slip with a high pressure cleaner
